Utica is perhaps most renowned for one thing – FOOD! Make sure you try Utica’s unique cuisine, such as the half moon cookie, tomato pie and chicken riggies. When you come to Utica, bring your appetite and we promise that you won’t go home hungry!

For a small community, the residents of Utica support local events, such as the Boilermaker 15K Road Race, the largest of its kind; and America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk, with over one million dollars raised for the third year in a row.

The National Distance Running Hall of Fame is located in Utica, while the Boxing Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum are nearby.

Turning Stone Casino and Resort includes seven fabulous restaurants, a spa and salon, shopping, nationally acclaimed entertainment, high stakes bingo, casino gaming action and world class golf.

For cultural entertainment, Utica offers Munson Williams Proctor Institute which includes a museum, performing arts center and the school of fine arts. Downtown Utica is home to the Stanley Performing Arts Center, featuring theater and symphony; and F.X. Matt’s Brewery, maker of the famous Schultz and Dooley steins.

Utica, located in Oneida County, in the heart of New York State, is known as ‘The Gateway to the Adirondacks’, with Adirondack Scenic Railroad offering adventurous rides throughout the North Country.
